Nominations are now open in the Town of Yarmouth’s special municipal election.
The election was called to fill the vacant seat on town council left by the passing of Councillor Jim MacLeod.
Nominations can be filed at the office of the Returning Officer at Yarmouth Town Hall between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on nomination day, which will be held on Tuesday, August 24th.
Nominations can also be filed by appointment during office hours in the seven business days leading up to nomination day.
The special municipal election will be held on September 18th.
