Nova Scotia is sending a team to help fight wildfires in Manitoba.
Eighteen people from the Department of Lands and Forestry will leave our province Thursday morning to help.
There are currently 154 wildfires burning in Manitoba with several air quality warnings in place across the province.
Some people at a northern First Nation, known as Split Lake, were evacuated on Tuesday because of the fires and smoke.
More than 3,000 people from several First Nations have also relocated to hotels near Winnipeg because of the fires.
Nova Scotia’s team will leave Halifax Stanfield International Airport after 8:30 a.m.
