
The Nova Scotia Health Authority is reporting one new case of COVID-19 and one potential exposure to the virus in the tri-counties.
The new case is related to travel, it is the only active case in the Yarmouth, Shelburne and Digby community health network.
The case was announced today as part of the numbers counted over the long weekend.
The potential exposure to COVID-19 happened at Shopper’s Drug Mart at the Evangeline Mall in Digby (95 Warwick Street) on July 23 between 12:00 p.m. and 1:15 p.m.
NSHA is asking anyone who worked or visited the location on the specified dates and times to book a COVID-19 test regardless of whether or not they have symptoms.
If you do not have symptoms you do not need to self-isolate while you wait for your test result. If you have symptoms you’ll be required to isolate while waiting for your test result.
It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at the location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, August 6th.
