Have you run into this? Heinz – the ketchup kings – has started an online campaign “calling on big bun and big wiener companies to finally sell buns and wieners in even packs.”
No more selling 10 Hot Dogs and 8 Buns! Or at least that’s what the point of this is. They have started an online petition to stop this dastardly practice.

It’s meant to be a tongue in cheek campaign, but there are some serious elements to it – According to the National Zero Waste Council “more than a third of food produced and distributed in Canada never gets eaten, with significant environmental, economic and social consequences.”
Canadian households waste more than 2 million tonnes of edible food every year, costing Canadians more than $17 billion in food waste.
When I’m out of buns I use bread, how about you?
