A Cape Sable Island man has been arrested for possessing and transmitting child pornography.
After receiving information from the RCMP’s National Child Exploitation Crime Centre last November, investigators were directed to a home in Cape Sable Island.
On Tuesday, the RCMP’s provincial Internet Child Exploitation Unit searched the home with help from the Digital Forensic Services Unit, Shelburne County Street Crime Enforcement Unit and Barrington RCMP general duty members.
21 year-old Connor Bower was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Transmitting Child Pornography.
He was released on a number of strict conditions and is scheduled to appear in Shelburne Provincial Court on September 1.
