
RCMP have released information about the response to a fire on a fishing vessel today in Saulnierville.
At 11:40 a.m., Meteghan RCMP and the Little Brook Fire Department responded to a report that a fishing vessel was on fire, which was tied up at the Saulnierville wharf.
Police say the fire was contained to the interior of the vessel and was quickly extinguished by firefighters from the Little Brook Fire Department with help from Meteghan Fire.
No one was aboard the vessel at the time of the fire. There have been no reports of any injuries.
No other property was damaged.
The investigation into the fire is ongoing but RCMP say it is considered non suspicious at this time.
