The crew of a lobster vessel out of Wedgeport are being charged with possessing a large number of lobster parts.
On May 19th, 345 tails and 701 claws were seized by officers from the Tusket DFO detachment during an inspection.
DFO conservation and protection supervisor Dwayne Muise says the crew was charged with possession of lobster claws, tails or meat separated from the thorax, under Atlantic fishery regulations 57-3.
The three fishermen that were charged are Captain Eugene Michael Boudreau, Earl Patrick Boudreau and Allan David Saulnier.
The captain also faces a charge of possession of undersized lobster. He was arrested and released at the scene.
