Good Morning !
HERE IS MY TRIBUTE TO MOM.
Mothers Day is just around the corner , this Sunday.
“Mother’s Day” is celebrated in some 60 countries including Australia, Canada, Denmark, Italy, New Zealand, Turkey, and the USA. The modern holiday of Mother’s Day was first celebrated in 1908, when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother at a church in Grafton, West Virginia. In a normal year, more North Americans eat out on “Mother’s Day” than any other special occasion.
Taking Mom out to eat will most likely be a popular event again this year in most areas. ” Support local “
As a Kid I would always pick my Mom Spring Flowers leading up to Mothers Day.
I would always try and find the BIG Mothers Day card . ” I’m smiling as I write this ” 🙂
IF MY MOM WAS MAD .. HERE ARE SOME OF HER SAYINGS.
I’m not asking, I’m telling.
When you have kids, I hope they’re just like you.
Don’t you use that tone with me Mister.
Stop crying or I’ll give you something to cry about.
You better wipe that look off your face.
OTHER WAYS TO TELL WHEN MOM IS MAD . . .
She stops speaking English and starts swearing in her mother tongue.
It was the only time I would ever hear my middle name.
She yells so loud that the neighbors brush THEIR teeth and go to bed.
AND FOR ALL YOU NEW MOMS
You have the ability to hear a sneeze through closed doors in the middle of the night, two bedrooms away, while your husband snores next to you.
Peeing with an audience is part of the daily routine.
You think of physical pain on three levels: pain, excruciating pain and stepping on a Lego.
You realize you’ve been watching Nickelodeon alone, even though your kids have been in bed for an hour.
You have a secret chocolate stash because frankly, you’re sick of sharing.
You use your own spit to clean your kid’s face. ( My Mom did that too ” gross ” )
You’ve been washing the same load of laundry for three days because you keep forgetting to dry it.
You hire a sitter because you haven’t been out with your husband in ages, then spend half the night checking on the kids.
By the end of the day, brushing your teeth feels like a huge accomplishment.
Here’s a few more !
You have time to shave only one leg at a time.
You think that a little green jumpsuit with orange elephants on it (and matching hat) is “absolutely the most adorable thing” you have ever seen.
You know where every bathroom is in every office, store, or building you go into.
You find yourself cutting your husband’s sandwiches into cute shapes.
Someone else’s kid throws up at the dinner table. You keep eating.
You’ve mastered the art of placing 6 different food items on a plate without anything touching.
You hear your mother’s voice coming out of your mouth when you say, “NOT in your good clothes!”
You can’t bear to give away baby clothes … it’s so final.
.
