Emergency services have responded to a structure fire on Brunswick St. tonight.
Around 7:14 p.m. firefighters from Yarmouth, Lake Vaughn and Port Maitland responded to the fire at 39 Brunswick St.
Yarmouth fire department acting chief Mike Deveau says crews arrived within two minutes of the call.
There are no injures. The fire was contained to the kitchen and is believed to be electrical. Crews knocked down the fire in five minutes and began searching the first and second floor.
At this time the house is uninhabitable. Fire damage is small but there is water and smoke damage, which has required the power to be shut off.
RCMP were also on scene and a section of Brunswick St. between Baker St. and Chester St. was blocked off.
Deveau thanked the crews from Lake Vaughn and Port Maitland for their help with the fire.
