The Yarmouth Junior A Mariners will play out of province for the first time this season.
Today, they’re headed to Summerside, PEI to start a two-game showdown with the Western Capitals.
Mariners Head Coach and GM Laurie Barron says this trip is different than any other this season.
“We’ll do our testing right at the bridge. All players and staff will have to be tested. You’re not allowed at the rink until about two hours before game time. Then it’s right to the hotel after the game.”
The first game is tonight at 7.
Barron says these mid-week games will have a playoff feel to them, and it will be a great test for his club.
“The guys are looking forward to that playoff atmosphere and the games being more meaningful.”
The teams also play tomorrow evening.
