One new case of COVID-19 in the Eastern Zone.
Provincial officials say the case is under investigation and there are 17 active cases across the province.
Nova Scotia Health Authority labs completed 2,681 tests on Thursday.
Chief Medical Officer of Health Doctor Robert Strang says low COVID numbers are good in more ways than one.
“One of those being our vaccine rollout. Low COVID activity means our main focus on the rollout of vaccines.”
Strang says more vaccine is on the way.
“We will receive more vaccine over these next few weeks than we have received to date. The work we have done with the program, that means we will be able to get vaccine into many more locations in the next few weeks ahead.“
46,891 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered and 15,655 Nova Scotians have received their second dose.
