The next step to bringing a pool back to Yarmouth is now underway.
Yesterday the Bridge Subcommittee met to make a recommendation on who will operate 275 Main Street, the site of the former YMCA, once it reopens.
The committee decided that the Mariner’s Centre should operate the facility while work on their expansion happens.
It’s now up to the Mariner’s Centre and the three municipal councils involved to agree or disagree.
Important questions were raised during the meeting, concerning the costs to reopen the building, when to expect a plan and what would happen to 275 Main Street after the expansion at the Mariner’s Centre is complete.
