MoDY Earmarks Funding For Bridge Project And Expansion

A big commitment from The Municipality of the District of Yarmouth toward the Mariners Centre expansion and bridge project.

During Wednesday’s regular council meeting, The Municipality earmarked 2 million dollars toward the Mariners Centre Expansion.

MODY also agreed to match a $75,000 contribution toward re-opening of 275 Main Street as a bridge location for aquatics and community recreation.

The Town of Yarmouth and the Municipality of Argyle each previously agreed to a $75,000 dollar commitment to the bridge project

The Municipality says the bridge subcommittee continues to work out details surrounding reopening 275 Main Street, while the Mariners Centre Expansion Steering Committee will reconvene on March 4th to refine expansion plans.
