A case of counterfeit money in Kingston has led RCMP to ask for the public’s help identifying the suspect.
On Monday a man visited a convenience store on Main St. in Kingston and used a counterfeit $50 Canadian bill.
The man was recorded by surveillance video. He appears to be between 35 and 45 years old, with a long reddish brown beard and moustache wearing a black winter toque, a grey Adidas zippered sweater and a black shirt.

The bill he used had distinctive blue markings, which were folded down when he handed it to the employee.
Police are reminding local businesses to examine and verify any currency that is given to them and to report any suspicious bills.
They are asking for anyone with relevant information to contact Kings District RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
