RCMP say two Enfield men have been charged with child pornography offences, one of whom is allegedly the head of the Atlantic Better Business Bureau.
Police say that a complaint triggered their investigation, which came to a head on Thursday when a 35 year old man was arrested and his home was searched.
Carlos Ayapal Gonzalez Moraga faces charges including Sexual Interference and Making Child Pornography.
The investigation into Moraga resulted in an additional search at a home in Enfield and a business in Halifax.
That culminated in the arrest of 47-year-old Peter Alan Moorhouse on Sunday.
Moorhouse faces charges of Making Child Pornography and Making an Agreement to Commit a Sexual Offence Against a Child.
The Chronicle-Herald reports that Moorehouse is the CEO and President of the Better Business Bureau, and was also previously involved with Bedford United Church.
Both men have been released on conditions.
They are due in Shubenacadie Provincial Court in March.
Investigators believe that Moorhouse is part of several community groups which may have given him access to youth.
The RCMP is reaching out to the public in the event there may be more victims.
