
Environment Canada has ended its winter storm warning for Yarmouth county but conditions are still rough.
Blowing snow should end this morning but there’s still a chance of flurries throughout the day.
511 is reporting that roads in the tri-counties are snow-covered. Be careful of black ice as well.
All schools in the Tri-County Regional Centre for Education are closed today. Classes are cancelled in the Clare and Argyle regions for Conseil scolaire acadien provincial.
NSCC campuses in Yarmouth, Shelburne, and Digby satellite are all closed as well.
Municipality of Barrington’s offices will be closed until 1pm today due to the weather.
Nova Scotia Power’s outage map indicates issues in Yarmouth, Port Maitland, Gulliver’s Cove, Barrington Passage and Port La Tour.
NSP pinpoints high winds and snow as the cause. They estimate power will be restored by 11 pm tonight.
