Provincial PC Leader Tim Houston shared his reaction to the news that the CAT ferry will not run for a third year in a row.
He says that while it was expected, it’s unfair to businesses who have struggled.
“It’s a complete insult to those people that are trying to get by, trying to stay open to know that the operator of the ferry will now be paid full on for the third year in a row without sailing once.” said Houston.
Houston and the PC’s were in court late last year to find out how much the province is paying Bay Ferries to operate the CAT.
They are currently waiting for the judge’s ruling on whether the numbers should be released to the public.
