Today is the 15th Day of 2021.
The Tri -County area has not experienced much winter weather thus far this year , it’s still early and we are not quite a month into Winter.
The Weather Network Reported – parts of Texas have seen more snow than some major Canadian cities. While flakes are not uncommon there, some Texans are seeing accumulation bordering on once-in-a-generation amounts. In central Texas, 40cm (15.7 inches) of snowfall has been reported in the past few weeks. That contrasts with a dismally low snowfall in parts of Canada, with Ottawa logging 29cm (11.4 i) in the same time frame, Winnipeg 27cm (10.6 in.), and Edmonton seeing just 3.4cm (1.3 in.) of snowfall. With Winter weather comes the task of cleaning the snow off the car / truck and the scraping of ice from our windshields .
It’s not something I look forward to doing , I have tried some pretty cool methods to rid the car of Ice and I have found one that works well.
To easily melt the ice on your windshield, mix two-parts rubbing alcohol and one-part water in a spray bottle. When the solution hits the window, the ice will melt in seconds. You can also spray this solution on your doors if they’re frozen shut.
I have used this method many times, it has NOT damaged my paint or clear coat, no more than the Road Salt or Bird Droppings .
