Yarmouth RCMP has announced that the Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR) teams searching for 21 year old Zachery Lefave of Hebron have been suspended.
The RCMP say that the Yarmouth, Clare and Barrington GSAR teams have conducted extensive searches and have not been able to locate Lefave. The search efforts by the GSAR teams have been suspended but RCMP say that they may be reactivated if new leads or information is brought forward.
The RCMP say that there is no indication of criminality at this time.
Yarmouth RCMP are continuing to ask for the public’s help to locate Lefave who was last seen walking on Hwy. 334 in Plymouth on January first at approximately 12:30 a.m.
He is described as white, 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, with brown fair, facial hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a hat, plaid shirt and shorts.
The RCMP investigation is ongoing.
Dayton Red and White, and Huntley’s Village Meat Market are both offering $1,000 rewards for information that will help locate Lefave.
A search organized by members of the community is planned for Wednesday.
