RCMP shared this photo of Zack Lefave, who has been missing since early on January 1st. The image includes the shirt he was known to be wearing at the time of his disappearance.
Yarmouth County Ground Search and Rescue were activated early Saturday afternoon in the search for Zack Lefave.
RMCP say the 20 year old man from Hebron was last seen walking on Highway 334 in Plymouth around 12:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day.
He’s described as white, 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, brown facial hair, brown hair and blue eyes.
Lefave was last seen wearing a hat, yellow and blue plaid shirt and shorts.
The Ground Search and Rescue team is done for the night; they will be picking up the search on Sunday morning, focusing on the Plymouth area where he was last seen.
In a message on facebook, they ask that people refrain from using any drones in the area as they will be trying to dispatch a helicopter and cannot fly if drones are in the area.
Additionally, they’re asking the public to thoroughly check their properties, sheds, and vehicles for any sign of Zack Lefave.
While they appreciate the offers for help in the search, the team isn’t able to accept ‘spontaneous volunteers due to legality issues’.
Many Yarmouth County residents have banded together to search other locations where Lefave is alleged to have been spotted or heard from on the night of December 31st.
An alleged sighting in the Bunker Island area turned out to be false.
