Christmas Day was a record-breaking one when it comes to weather.
Environment Canada recorded a high of 14 degrees in Yarmouth, besting the previous high of 13 degrees in 2003.
A temperature of 14 was also recorded on Brier Island.
Even higher temperatures were recorded in other Tri-County locations, including 16 in Argyle and Deerfield.
The average high for this time of year is around 2.5 degrees.
The Tri-Counties are still under a rainfall warning on Christmas Day into Boxing Day.
Environment Canada’s forecast is calling for up to 60mm of rain locally before the temperature drops and precipitation turns to snow.
Winds are expected to gust up to 80 km/h.
The rain and wind are expected to move out of the area by Saturday night.
