West Nova MP, Chris d’Entremont, says the three amendments to inshore fishing regulations are little more than clarifications.
He questions why Minister Bernadette Jordan and DFO chose to make the announcement.
“I don’t understand the timing of her release since these were actually passed back in March,” said D’Entremont “Like I said, this is just simply a clarification, and I never knew clarifications came with such fanfare.”
He says his question for minister Jordan going forward is how will these amendments affect the one billion dollar deal between Clearwater Seafoods and the Mi’kmaq.
