The Yarmouth Junior A Mariners spoiled the Valley Wildcats home opener Saturday night.
Aaron Maillet, Connor Peveril and Mateo Short scored second period goals, and Brendan Cregan made 31 saves in Yarmouth’s 3-2 win in Berwick.
Cregan, the former Dartmouth Major Midget goaltender earned his first MHL win and was named first star of the game.
The Mariners are now 4-0 to start the season.
This weekend Yarmouth will host the St. Stephen Aces on Friday night, and the South Shore Lumberjacks on Saturday.
