This weekend came the news that one of the greatest actors of his generation had passed. Sean Connery was 90.
Sean was one of my favourite actors. Not just because of James Bond, either, although that certainly was his best known role. But he was an actor I wanted to follow on any journey.
From the Hunt For Red October, to Dragonheart, to Finding Forrester, he commanded the screen. I’ll be re-watching a bunch of those movies over the next while.
I realize that I’m a kind of “Old Soul” when it comes to movies and the actors I love. Sean is on the list Cary Grant is there, Clint Eastwood, maybe Tom Hanks.
