Sheng Ren Zheng and his now defunct Guang Da International lobster pound in Belliveaus Cove were found guilty yesterday of selling lobsters illegally.
They were nabbed back in October of 2017 preparing to ship the lobsters, caught under indigenous food, social and ceremonial licenses, to China.
A number of lobster had been microchipped in Saint Mary’s Bay and returned to the traps they’d been in, as part of a sting.
Sentencing is scheduled for 11 am on November 12th.
