The manhunt for a Bridgewater man who allegedly assaulted his common-law partner and stabbed a police officer and dog continues.
In an update released at 9:30 PM, Bridgewater Police say there hasn’t been any confirmed sighting of Doucette since Tuesday around 1 PM, when officers found him in the LaHave River.
Police had tried to apprehend Doucette at that time, but lost track of him after he stabbed a police dog and fled into the woods near highway 331 in Conquerall Bank.
They say both BPS and RCMP have investigated multiple tips and possible sightings throughout Nova Scotia, however Doucette’s whereabouts are currently unknown at this time.
They remind the public Doucette has not been located, and asks that anyone who believes they’ve spotted Doucette not approach him, and contact their local police agency.
Police have not confirmed whether Doucette is believed to be within the Lunenburg County area or if he has moved elsewhere in the province.
