The province has walked back their previous statement of one new COVID-19 case Early Saturday afternoon.
In a release, the province says the new case, which was reported to be from a resident at Northwood, a long-term care home in Halifax, was actually a false positive.
That means the provincial total still sits at 1,061.
Two individuals are currently in hospital, including one in the ICU.
The QEII Health Sciences Centre microbiology lab completed 854 tests on Friday and is operating 24-hours a day.
Nova Scotia has 48,384 negative test results and 996 individuals have now recovered and their cases of COVID-19 are considered resolved.
