Nova Scotia RCMP are seeing a drop in offences in relation to the provincial State of Emergency.
Police say since May 12th, only two people were changed under the Nova Scotia Health Protection and Emergency Management Acts, a significant drop from the previous week which saw 15 charged with offences.
This is the lowest number they’ve reported since they began announcing enforcement numbers in April.
To date, police have charged 222 people with offences relating to COVID-19 restrictions, which includes those not self-isolating after travel and those repeatedly going against physical distancing restrictions among others.
RCMP says they will continue to enforce these restrictions until they are lifted, but will no longer be releasing weekly statistics on charges.
