500 Witnesses. 17 scenes. Ground-penetrating radar.
RCMP in the province have provided an update on H-Strong, the investigation into the incidents of April 18th and 19th.
Police say they’re still investigating whether the gunman had help leading up to the spree shooting that claimed 22 lives.
Police say investigators have identified the supplier that was used to make the RCMP decals that were on his car.
The decals were created without permission of the business owner, and both the owner and the individual who made the decals are cooperating with police.
RCMP say the calibre of the weapons used is not being released because it is a central part of the investigation.
Officers used ground-penetrating radar on the gunman’s property in Portapique to see if anything of relevance would be found buried on the property, but nothing was recovered.
A psychological autopsy of the gunman is underway.
Police say they continue to do interviews, and are requesting anyone who may have had a conflict with the gunman, whether professional or personal, to contact them.
