If you’re having difficulty keeping up-to-date with the deluge of information surrounding COVID-19, there is now a local service that can help.
The Regional Emergency Management Organization for Yarmouth County now has a pair of dedicated emergency phone lines open Monday to Friday to help residents.
The two phone lines operate Monday to Friday from 1 until 4pm.
Regional Emergency Management Coordinator for Yarmouth County Jeanine Muise says surprisingly – call volumes have been low.
“Which, to me, represents that people in the community are helping each other,” she said. “Families and friends are doing what they need to do for social distancing and following the guidelines that Dr. Strang has put out there.”
