Mayor Karen Mattatall says an extended closure of the emergency department at Roseway Hospital is “way beyond acceptable.
She took to Facebook after a release from the Nova Scotia Health Authority yesterday.
Mattatall is urging everyone to “stay safe”.
It says the ER in Shelburne will be closed this evening at 6:00 and reopening tomorrow at 8:00 a.m.
It closes again at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow then reopens Saturday morning at at 8:00.
It closes Saturday at 6:00 p.m. reopens Monday morning at 8.
The ER will close once again Monday 6:00 p.m., reopening Tuesday morning at 7.
The health authority says the closures are because of a lack of physician availability.
