The Atlantic Canadian region will be wet and slightly cooler than normal through September and October, according to the 2020 Farmers Almanac.
But, winter appears to be a different story.
Managing Editor, Sandi Duncan, says Nova Scotia will be cold with a lot of snow, ice and freezing rain.
She adds, according to their calculations, parts of January and February could test some peoples will.
“The Farmers Almanac is kind of red-flagging pretty much the end of January and early February for some arctic cold coming in to Nova Scotia. In the middle of January and the beginning of January, the 4th to the 7th and the 12th to the 15th, we’re kind of red-flagging those dates for some possible big storms.”
Duncan says their forecasts are based on mathematical and astronomical formula including sun spot activity and position of the planet.
People who follow the Farmers Almanac claim their forecasts are about 80% accurate.
