Several fire departments responded to a structure fire early this afternoon in Yarmouth County.
The Yarmouth Fire Department was first on scene,
Platoon Chief Lynn Seeley says upon arrival the one-level home was full of smoke.
” Once we gained entry we were able to contain the fire to one room of the structure.”
He says there was no one at home at the time and the cause is under investigation.
RCMP were on scene and were placing yellow police tape in front of the property.
Seeley says Lake Vaughn and Port Maitland volunteer fire departments were called in for tankers and firefighters.
