The first SWITCH Open Street of the season drew lots of people to downtown Yarmouth last Sunday.
There were vendors, live music and lots for kids to do.
Yarmouth Recreation director Frank Grant says even though there weren’t as many vendors as last year, the SWITCH was a success.
“Great weather equaled great crowds. We had steady crowds all day and I think most of the vendors and downtown businesses that participated were happy to see such a busy and active street. We partner with the Town of Yarmouth’s Economic Development Department and and Natalie Smith really worked hard on getting more downtown businesses involved.”
Switch Open Street takes place a couple of times a year, transforming Main Street into safe, fun and festive family spaces. Main Street is closed to vehicles during the day long event.
Grant says the final SWITCH of the year will be held on Sunday, August 25.
Anyone interested in setting up a vendor’s booth can drop by town hall or call the Planning Department 902-742-1505 or email planningadmin@townofyarmouth.ca
