The street parade that returned this year, the popular children’s parade, the Mayor’s Picnic and of course the classic car show , this year’s Seafest drew hundreds of people to Yarmouth’s downtown and the waterfront.
Performers including bands, singers, dancers and musicians and a magician entertained folks at Killam’s Wharf.
Festival president David Outhouse says some of last year’s events were not as well attended as they were this year called this year’s festival a “great success”.
“Bringing back the parade, judging from the line up along Main Street, I would say that was well received as well. And the fireworks, we’ll I’ve heard nothing but great things.”
He says the Seafest committee had just six volunteers to 8 plus himself and thanked them for their hard work.
Outhouse also thanked the Yarmouth County Ground Search and Rescue Team for all its help during the parade.
He hopes more people will come forward next year to volunteer.
Despite efforts by Yarmouth Town councillor Steve Berry, not enough participants could be found for the parade of lights in the harbour.
