One lane of Highway 103 is closed following a tractor trailer crash yesterday afternoon in Granite Village.
Chief Todd Sisk of the Sable River Volunteer Fire Department says the 18-wheeler was travelling east bound when it went off the road and into the ditch near the Shelburne-Queens County line around 2 p.m. Monday.
The driver was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries and later returned to the scene.
Several tow trucks were needed to take the large vehicle away in pieces.

The west bound lane of the highway is expected to be closed until clean-up efforts are complete. Traffic control is assisting.
The truck was carrying approximately 55,000 pounds of sea cucumbers which was spilled as a result of the crash.

The Department of Environment was also called after fuel tanks ruptured, causing a spill of an estimated 425 litres.
They are expected back on scene this morning to remove the contaminated soil and replace it with new soil.
Officials with the Department of Transportation, RCMP, paramedics and firefighters from Liverpool were also called following the crash.
