A lack of physicians means the emergency department of the Digby hospital will be closed today.
The ER closed it’s doors at 6 a.m. and isn’t expected to reopen until 8 this evening.
The health authority says anyone with who needs medical assistance should go to the next nearest medical centre.
However they advice people to call and make sure the office is open due to the holiday.
