It only takes one evening a week and one weekend a month.
Have you considered joining the Canadian Army Reserves ?
They’re looking for 15-hundred new members nationally and held open houses across Canada over the weekend to show the public what they do.
The 84th Independent Field Battery in Yarmouth held theirs yesterday
Lieutenant-Colonel John Woodgate tells CJLS News it’s all about connecting to the community.
“Show them our equipment. Let the community see the young people that are from the community in the parade carry themselves proudly as members of the 84th Battery.”
He says the key message is that the 84th Battery is recruiting with high paying jobs and good benefits.
“we have good jobs. Jobs with benefits, high paying to include reimbursement for university and post-secondary education.”
Lieutenant-Colonel John Woodgate says the leadership and trade skills taught in the army reserves are very attractive assets that employers look for.
