Yarmouth Town RCMP responded to a report of a robbery at the convenience store at the Starrs Road Irving just after 4am Thursday May 11.
Corporal John Stoddart says a lone male entered the store, brandishing a knife and demanding cash.
“This male accessed the cash register and took an undisclosed amount of cash”.
Stoddart says no one was hurt.
The suspect fled south on Pleasant Street on foot.
Stoddart says the man is described as being 5 foot 7 inches to 5 foot 10 inches tall, medium build, he was wearing a dark blue hoodie, jeans and rubber boots.
His face was partially covered by the hoodie.
Cpl. Stoddart says the RCMP dog was called in.
He says they are reviewing the store’s surveillance camera footage.
