The residential rate remains at $1.07 for every $100 of assessment, and the commercial rate is still $2.25 for every $100.
CAO Alain Muise says the budget is balanced at around $8.8 million.
“One of the biggest capital projects this year, to no surprise, is the construction of the municipal building. We won’t necessarily get it completely finished in the fiscal year but we certainly begin at do some significant work towards completing that.”
Muise says there will be a new wastewater project in Wedgeport and work to improve the one in West Pubnico.
He says the budget also includes a focus on airport development and oyster aquaculture as well.
