No intermediate baseball in Yarmouth this season.
The Yarmouth Gateways have been struggling to recruit players over the last two seasons.
Player/Coach Curtis Falls says this doesn’t mean the Gateways are gone forever.
“We decided to take a leave of absence for one year just to try and right the ship for the organization. We’re hoping things will improve with the feeder system, and we’ll try to give it another go next season.”
The Gateways have been in the NSIBL since the 2000’s and won the league title in 2015.
The Tri-Counties will still have a team, as the Shelburne County Schooners will compete.
The NSIBL season begins this month.
