Yarmouth’s efforts to keep the town beautiful and green have paid off once again.
The town did very well during the Communities In Bloom National/International Symposium in Alberta.
Yarmouth’s Community in Bloom Committee chairperson, Wade Cleveland says the judges were very impressed.
“One of the judges does the same kind of work for Ottawa and said it was the best inventory that she’d ever seen. that was quite a feather in our cap.”
Another judge said “the Yarmouth Tree Inventory is an outstanding example of how a well-designed inventory can help a municipal parks department plan their parks staff activities.”
Yarmouth placed the highest they’ve ever placed in the Circle of Excellence, receiving 5 Blooms, a silver.
