Some local athletes are in Winnipeg for the start of the 2017 Canada Games today.
Hudson Grimshaw-Surette of Yarmouth and Jacob Symonds of Woods Harbour will represent Team Nova Scotia in a number of track events.
Yarmouth’s Ryan Shay will be competing in para-track events.
In Volleyball, watch out for Derek d’Eon of West Pubnico, Alec Jean Cottreau of Yarmouth and Renee Cleveland of Clare.
Shelburne’s Megan Perry will be on Team Nova Scotia’s women’s softball team.
