The All-Terrain Vehicle Association of Nova Scotia is urging riders to stay safe this summer and enjoy the outdoors.
The first week of June is ATV/Off Highway Vehicle Safety Week.
Association executive director Barry Barnet says this year’s theme is ‘Get Trained And Go Ride’.
“What we’re trying to tell Nova Scotians is that ATV ridng can be a safe activity. But you need to get trained, you need to wear the proper equipment and you need to respect the equipment and the environment.”
Barnet says riders can increase their safety skills by taking an ATV safety training course.
ATVANS is the third largest ATV provincial rider federation in Canada with over 40 clubs and thousands of club members.
