Fire destroyed an old boat shop in the Municipality of Clare yesterday.
Around 4:15pm, firefighters from Meteghan, Salmon River and Little Brook responded to the blaze on the Peter Dugas Road in Meteghan.
Fire chief Alain Comeau of Meteghan says there were no injuries, and the building was a ‘total loss.’
Comeau says the fire was accidental.
The building was constructed in 1978.
The road was closed for about four hours while firefighters battled the blaze.
