Government is listening to Nova Scotian’s ideas on how to make the province more accessible.
A series of meetings will be held where participants can provide input on the province’s accessibility strategy.
That strategy will set standards across a number of sectors including education, employment and communication.
The Minister Responsible for the Accessibility Act, Mark Furey says it’s important that this is a community-led initiative.
“That would undertake government, the business community, communities at large and individuals working together to achieve the ambitious goal of an accessible province by 2030.”
Meetings will be held at local NSCC campuses, beginning tonight in Yarmouth and Bridgewater tomorrow.
Anyone unable to attend can provide feedback by following this link.
