The federal government is investing $5.4 million in Internet improvements for the riding of West Nova.
MP Colin Fraser says several communities in Yarmouth and Digby counties are included.
“Sandford, Gavelton ,Central Chebogue and North Range will all be getting access to high-speed Internet as a result of these investments.”
Last week, South Shore-St. Margarets MP Bernadette Jordan made several similar announcements for areas of Cape Sable Island and other rural spots in Shelburne County.
It’s all part of the country’s ‘Connect to Innovate’ program.
Fraser says Internet is a necessary service, and they still have lots of work to do to get everyone online with high-speed.
