RCMP is looking to speak to two people who may have given a ride to a missing man.
Tim Wells, 56, was last seen May 12 bicycling in the Vaughan area on Highway 14.
He may have been given a ride by the occupants of a blue GMC four door, pickup truck May 13.
Corporal Jennifer Clarke, with RCMP media relations, says a recent tip indicates a vehicle headed toward New Ross after picking up a man sitting on the side of Highway 12 near Forest Heights Community School.
“We are not sure at this point whether that person who was picked up was Mr. Wells however, we’re not sure that it isn’t, either,” says Clarke.
Clarke also noted that a bicycle was not spotted with the man on the side of the road but she says, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t Wells.
The occupants of the vehicle are encouraged to contact RCMP.
RCMP has been searching the area over the last few days, including using air support.
Clarke says Wells disappearance is not considered suspicious but he has a medical condition that requires medication and there is concern for his well being.
Wells is white, approximately 6 feet tall, and 270 pound.
He has thinning grey hair, scruffy beard and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a blue jacket with a white crest on the left side and an orange bicycle helmet.
