Premier Stephen McNeil has made a number of controversial decisions over the past three and a half years.
Changes to the film tax credit, amalgamation of health authorities and the showdown with teachers to name a few.
When asked to choose one thing he would like to do over, McNeil says it would be the changes made to seniors pharmacare.
“We tried to deal with that issue and instead of fixing it we shifted it to another group of seniors. We caused a lot of anxiety for some and when it was pointed out, we changed it. But, if I could do that over, I certainly would like to have gotten it right the first time.”
The premier says no government is perfect.
“The government is like people. They’re run by people. We all have mistakes. Some are bigger than others. You just take ownership of them and move on.”
McNeil says while he can’t promise not to make another mistake, he will take responsibility when he does.
