The local major midget hockey team has a new major sponsor.
The UPS Store in Bridgewater has its name attached to the South Shore Mustangs.
Few details have been provided but the club is now named the UPS Store South Shore Mustangs.
The Mustangs have also named Paul Hunt as their new head coach.
Hunt helped guide the All Credit Auto Rangers to the major bantam provincial title this past season and a silver medal finish at Atlantics.
And finally, the club held its season-ending awards banquet last night at the Best Western in Bridgewater.
Ryan O’Toole was named this year’s MVP.
Vincent Rioux was given the top forward award while Brant King was named top defenceman.
Other awards went to Aaron Brown for top rookie forward and Brian Grandy for top rookie defenceman.
Keaghan Larade was named top goaltender, James Warring received the most improved award and the coaches award was given to Kayden Nickerson.
The club will be holding its ID camp on May 13 and 14.
